Pickle (2012)

In 2012, I was part of a two-person exhibition with Teresa Braun entitled “Pickle”, in which I created several sculptures while Teresa made half a dozen paintings. The subject matter and themes of my work here had a fairly dark undertone, touching on depression, self-worth, suicide, frustration, and identity. During this time, I was also working on my large scale sculpture “Rex”. The work from this period is more raw and unrefined then previous and subsequent pieces, but it also represents a very raw reflection on myself and my creative process.
